Do state and national chess registrations serve the same purpose?
The GSCA circular says state registration is compulsory for participation in a state-level tournament. AICF has a separate rule requiring players in its events to be registered with AICF. Its new registrations and renewals are valid from 1 April to 31 March, following the accounting year.
