Why Gujarat families choose online coaching

Gujarat has several fast-growing cities as well as families spread across industrial centres and district towns. School, tuition, and family schedules can make regular travel to one coaching address hard to maintain.

A live online slot brings the coach to the child’s home and works the same way anywhere with a stable connection. Small groups also allow children outside major cities to receive direct feedback rather than relying only on recorded material.

Chess for kids in Gujarat

Chess has a visible place in Gujarat’s school and community activities, with the Gujarat State Chess Association overseeing affiliated competition. Online lessons can build a steady learning routine, while nearby over-the-board events remain the place to practise tournament conditions. Gujarat has an established competitive circuit under the Gujarat State Chess Association (affiliated to the All India Chess Federation), and has produced GM Tejas Bakre — the state's first Grandmaster — and GM Ankit Rajpara, India's 36th GM. Ahmedabad hosts the recurring Gujarat International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament, which held its 4th edition in June 2026.

We had been searching for a chess class online for our sons. Suddenly on instagram , we saw the ad for chesswize and connected with the them. The demo was really good and we started the classes for our almost 4.7 year old son. Ankit Rajoriya Sir engaged him really well , he very knowlegeble in his field. His classes are well structured and he teaches the concepts in simple and engaging manner. My son has started loving chess and has started applying the strategies. The environment of the class is really positive where kids feel safe asking questions and their queries are answered well. We truly appreciate his professionalism, dedication, and commitment towards his students. We highly recommend Chesswize and Ankit Rajoriya Sir to any parent looking for chess classes for their kids.

We are very happy with the coaching at Chesswize, especially with our son’s teacher, Ankit Rajoriya. Ankit sir is a wonderful coach especially for younger kids.He knows the game deeply but also teaches with patience, encouragement, and real passion. He explains ideas in a clear and easy way, so children can understand and use them in their games. His classes are well-planned, fun, and motivating. Since our son started learning with Ankit sir, we have seen big improvements in his chess skills, thinking ability, focus, and confidence. He creates a friendly environment where kids feel comfortable asking questions and are inspired to keep getting better. We truly value his dedication and care for each student. We strongly recommend Chesswize and Ankit Rajoriya sir to any parent who wants quality chess coaching for their child.

Coach Ankit has been amazing for my 8-year-old. He’s super friendly and explains chess rules in a way kids actually get. My son looks forward to every Chesswize class now. He motivates him to do better without any pressure, and I’ve seen fast improvement in both his game and confidence. Highly recommend Ankit for young beginners!

Online chess classes in Gujarat: common questions

How much do online chess lessons for kids in Gujarat cost?

ChessWize starts from Rs 375 per class for children aged 5–15. Families choose live 1:1 lessons or a batch of up to six, in English or Hindi, and the child keeps the same coach weekly. A WhatsApp parent report follows each week. The free 30-minute demo requires no payment, and unused classes are refundable under plan terms.

Are the lessons fully online, or is there a ChessWize branch in Gujarat?

The lessons are live online only; ChessWize has no physical branch in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, or elsewhere in Gujarat. The coach teaches and responds during the session rather than playing a recording. Families can combine this regular training with school chess or local over-the-board events when those are available nearby.

Will online coaching work for a child living outside Gujarat’s largest cities?

Yes, provided the child has a suitable device and stable internet connection. Location does not change the batch cap, lesson format, or access to a FIDE-rated coach. English and Hindi are available. This is useful for district-town families who may have local playing opportunities but fewer practical choices for a consistent weekly coach.
