ChessWize ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

• Contact information: Parent name, email, phone number, city.
• Child information: Name, age range, chess level.
• Usage data: Page views, clicks, form interactions, device type, session duration, and navigation paths collected automatically through analytics.
• Attribution data: UTM parameters, referral source, landing page.

• To schedule and deliver demo classes and coaching sessions.
• To communicate with you about your child's progress.
• To improve our website and marketing effectiveness.
• To send relevant updates (you can opt out at any time).

We use the following services that may process your data:

• ChessWize database & admin panel: Lead management and communication — your details are stored in our own self-hosted database (Postgres) so our team can contact you about your demo.
• Meta (Facebook): Advertising attribution and conversion tracking.
• Google Analytics: Website usage analytics.
• Google Ads: Advertising attribution and conversion measurement — when you arrive from a Google ad and book a demo, we share that booking event and the ad-click identifier with Google to measure ad performance. We do not share your name or contact details in this process.
• PostHog: Product analytics.
• Resend: Transactional emails.
• Cloudflare: Website hosting and security.

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services. You can request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at [email protected].

You have the right to request deletion of your personal information at any time, per India's DPDP Act 2023 §17 and EU GDPR Art. 17.

To exercise this right:

• Email [email protected] with subject DSAR: Delete my data
• Include the phone number or email you used when contacting us
• We respond within 30 days and confirm deletion in writing

Deletion removes your data from our database, email lists, ads attribution, and backups.

Classes, homework and progress reports run on ChessCore, the learning platform we use. When your child joins classes, ChessCore holds:

• Your child's details: name, age or date of birth, chess level, and school or grade if you choose to give them.
• Chess work: games and moves, puzzle attempts (result, hints used and time taken), homework, attendance and makeup classes.
• Coaching records: notes coaches write, and the progress shown on your parent dashboard, such as a rating trend and puzzle accuracy.
• Live classes: classes are video calls. A class is recorded only if you agree.
• Your parent account: your login and contact details, and sign-in records (such as IP address and browser) kept for security.

We use these records to teach your child and to report progress to you. We do not use them to advertise to your child, and the platform shows no ads. ChessCore uses AI model providers to help coaches draft class notes and suggested practice areas; a coach reviews them before they reach you. You see only your own child's records; the coaches and staff who teach your child can see them too. ChessCore also has its own privacy policy.

To see, correct, export or delete your child's platform records, or to withdraw your agreement to their use, email [email protected].

ChessWize coaches children, but our relationship is with you, the parent or guardian. Enrollment information is provided by parents. Once classes start, our learning platform also keeps a record of your child's chess work, as described in the section above. Your child's information is used only to run their coaching programme and report progress to you. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use children's information for advertising.
