Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
There is a written ladder from first moves to rated play. Children start in age tracks for ages 5-8, 9-12, and 13-15, then move through beginner, intermediate, and advanced roadmaps, plus dedicated tournament-prep and rating-improvement plans once they are ready to compete.
