What this Delhi NCR class is
ChessWize is a live online chess class for children aged 5–15, offered to families in Delhi NCR. A named coach teaches on a video call and shared digital board; this is not an in-person branch.
ChessWize is online only and has no local centre in Delhi NCR.
Who the format fits
It fits families with a beginner through a rated player who can keep a recurring IST time agreed after the level check, want a group capped at six or a one-to-one lesson, and want one regular coach. It does not fit a family that needs a walk-in classroom in Delhi NCR.
Live chess coaching that fits an NCR family week
Delhi NCR families in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad share one problem: the school day ends late and the roads are long. ChessWize brings the class into your living room instead, so your child trains with a coach without a midweek drive across the region. Every student keeps the same coach every session - no rotation, so the coach knows your child's habits and builds on them week after week.
Batches are deliberately small, with 4-6 similarly-rated children in each cohort, or a private 1:1 Analyst Protocol if your child needs focused attention. The curriculum runs from first moves for ages 5-8 through beginner, intermediate and advanced levels to tournament prep, so there is a clear ladder from the first lesson to rated play. A parent of a six-year-old says, 'Earlier he was not able to think rightly and take the right move.' A parent of a five-year-old says, 'In one month, my son has shown immense progress in the game of chess.' That visibility is built into every plan through a weekly WhatsApp report for every student.
You can start with a complimentary 30-min level check before you commit, and in Delhi NCR, a monthly enrolment can be cancelled within 48 hours for a full refund. Over a thousand students have been coached this way, with families typically reaching a first tournament in about four months on average. If you want structured training that survives board exams, winter fog and a packed calendar, book the free demo and see a real class before you decide.
Chess in Delhi NCR: registration and junior school events
For a Delhi entry, the Delhi Chess Association asks for proof of date of birth, guardian consent for players under eighteen and a district to register under. Noida has its own local example: Ramagya School in Sector 50 hosted a district tournament with under-seven to under-fifteen sections. Delhi also held a state school-team championship on 8-9 January 2026. Begin with the relevant organiser and the child's age group when comparing these routes.

Eleven checks to make before enrolling
Each answer below is tied to the section that carries its proof, so a parent can verify the detail rather than rely on a slogan.
-
Check 1
Who teaches my child, and are they rated?
Your child is taught by experienced coaches such as Hrdyansh Pandey, Tarun Gupta and Aryan Pal. Each coach is experienced with a verifiable identity, and the same coach stays with your child every session rather than rotating, so feedback compounds over the term.
See coaches -
Check 2
How many children share the coach?
Group batches are strictly limited to 4-6 similarly-rated students, so your child gets intense peer play without disappearing into a crowd. If you prefer full attention, the 1:1 Analyst Protocol gives one coach to one student, with homework drawn from your child's own games.
See class size -
Check 3
Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
Yes. There is a written roadmap for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15, plus beginner, intermediate, advanced, tournament-prep and rating-improvement tracks. A beginner learns the board and finishes a complete game; an advanced student works on calculation, repertoire and converting training into real events.
See the curriculum -
Check 4
How will I know it is working?
Every student comes with a weekly WhatsApp report for every student, so you see what was covered and what to practise even if you do not play yourself. Roadmaps track individual understanding, and rating-improvement students keep an error log so the trend is visible over weeks.
See progress reports -
Check 5
Is it safe, and can I see the classes?
Classes are live online sessions your child attends from home, with a coach on screen and no unsupervised chat rooms. Parents can sit nearby, and the weekly report keeps you informed about what happened in class. An adult can stay close for the opening minutes with a five or six year old.
Read safety policy -
Check 6
Can we try before paying?
Yes. There is a complimentary 30-min demo with no payment needed, and it doubles as a level check so the coach can place your child in the right batch. You see a real class format and meet the coach before any money changes hands.
See the level check -
Check 7
What if we stop?
In Delhi NCR a monthly plan cancelled within 48 hours of enrolling still brings a full refund. Until session three a pro-rated refund minus sessions attended still applies; after that the month is kept and cancelling stops future charges.
See refund terms -
Check 8
Will the timings fit our week?
Coach availability spans morning windows like 9:30 AM-1:30 PM IST, afternoon slots from 12:30-5:30 PM IST, and evening windows up to 4:30-9:30 PM IST. All times are IST with no DST shift, so a fixed weekly slot survives school terms, exams and travel across Delhi, Gurugram or Noida.
See class times -
Check 9
What does it cost, exactly?
The starter pack is ₹2,500 for 8 classes. After that, regular plans run from ₹375 to ₹1,000 per class depending on the plan and format. Both figures are stated upfront, and in Delhi NCR, after 48 hours but before the 3rd session, a monthly plan is pro-rated minus sessions attended.
See fees -
Check 10
Is there a path to tournaments?
To play in Delhi, you register with the Delhi Chess Association, which asks for proof of date of birth, guardian consent if the child is under 18, and a district. After that you pick a fixture and enter. Ramagya School in Noida hosted a district tournament with under-7 to under-15 sections. On average, students reach a first tournament in about four months.
See results -
Check 11
What do I have to do at home?
Very little is asked of you. Younger children benefit from five to ten focused minutes with the board between classes, and older students save one serious game a week for review. The coach sets homework matched to your child's errors, and you simply keep the device and board ready.

Honestly, I was skeptical about online chess coaching.
“Aadvik hated sitting still for anything, and I thought a Zoom class would last two weeks max. It's been six months. Last Sunday his class teacher called just to ask what changed — his attention in maths has jumped. He now does his puzzles before I'm up. Coach Arjun has the patience I don't.”

She used to cry after every loss. Not anymore.
“Anika was playing 'casually' on chess.com and hanging pieces every game. First month the coach just drilled Checks-Captures-Threats. The dashboard is what sold me though. I don't know chess, but I can see exactly what she covered each week. Her play sharpened on its own by week eight.”

Coach Ankit has been amazing for my 8-year-old. He’s super friendly and explains chess rules in a way kids actually get. My son looks forward to every Chesswize class now. He motivates him to do better without any pressure, and I’ve seen fast improvement in both his game and confidence. Highly recommend Ankit for young beginners!

Read on Google →Why the online format fits Delhi NCR
Delhi NCR spans Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad, and its families juggle busy school calendars alongside extracurriculars like chess.
Across a region this spread out, ferrying a child to a fixed coaching centre several evenings a week is rarely practical. Live online coaching brings a coach to your home on your schedule.
Local chess context
The NCR scholastic circuit is large and competitive, so a structured curriculum and weekly parent reports help your child stand out in a crowded field rather than just attend and play.
NCR school catchments often span different cities from where parents work — Dwarka to Gurugram, or Indirapuram to south Delhi — so a coach who is not tied to one sector is more realistic than a single offline pin for the whole term.
Online and offline choices
Delhi NCR has many offline academies; they fit families who live near a trusted coach and can hold the evening slot through board exams and winter fog. Online is the practical choice when home, school, and work sit in different NCR cities, or when you want a six-seat batch and the same coach every week. Weekend OTB events can still be local.

Questions from parents in Delhi NCR
What paperwork does Delhi player registration ask for?
Delhi player registration asks for proof of date of birth, guardian consent if the player is under eighteen, and a district to register under. The Delhi Chess Association also sets out a route from association registration to choosing a fixture and entering it, giving parents a clear sequence for their enquiries.
Where has Noida held a tournament with younger age sections?
Ramagya School in Sector 50 hosted a district chess tournament with sections from under-seven to under-fifteen. It used the Swiss system and FIDE laws. The District Chess Sports Association of Gautam Buddha Nagar co-organises the tournament with the district sports department, providing a named local body for parents to approach about junior entries.
What do online chess classes for kids in Delhi NCR cost?
Pricing starts from ₹375 per class for ages 5–15. Live 1:1 and groups of up to six are available in English or Hindi, with the same coach weekly and a WhatsApp parent report. Monthly plans: full refund within 48 hours of enrolling, then a pro-rated refund minus sessions attended before the third session. After the third session, no refund for the current billing period; cancel to stop future charges. Term packages (3 or 6 months): pro-rated refund minus sessions attended within 7 days of enrolling. After 7 days, no refund; remaining sessions can be completed within the term. Book a free 30-minute demo with no payment to start.
Do you have an offline chess centre in Delhi, Gurugram, or Noida?
No. ChessWize coaches live online only across Delhi NCR — no physical branch in any of the four main cities. A coach joins in real time and stays with your child. For many families split across Noida, Gurugram, and Delhi, that is more sustainable than a fixed centre address.
Will my child keep up with NCR inter-school chess if classes are only online?
Online training covers tactics, openings, and annotated game review with a coach watching every move. Local inter-school and rating events still give the clock and nerves practice. Small batches or 1:1 keep feedback specific; the weekly WhatsApp report shows what to prioritise before the next school tournament.
How do I know my child is placed at the right level?
The complimentary 30-min demo includes a level check, so the coach sees how your child plays before suggesting a batch. Children are grouped by working level within the 4-6 student cohorts, and if the fit is wrong, the coach can move them. The weekly WhatsApp report will quickly show whether the level is right.
What happens if we miss a class during exam season?
Tell the coach in advance and the plan can be adjusted; for teenagers, training volume is often reduced around exams without losing the main thread. In Delhi NCR, a class cancelled 4 hours ahead gets a free make-up; a no-notice miss counts as delivered.
Can my child switch between group classes and 1:1 later?
Yes. The programme offers both group batches of 4-6 students and the 1:1 Analyst Protocol, and families often start in a group and move to private coaching when a specific gap needs targeted work. Ask your coach at any weekly report point and the switch can be arranged around the same schedule.
Does online training really prepare kids for over-the-board events?
The tournament-prep track rehearses event conditions, including playing at the expected time control and reviewing games afterwards. Offline weekend events in the NCR can still be attended locally, and the coach helps interpret the organiser's notice. Several students have reached cohort district finisher positions after training online.
Which languages are the classes taught in?
Classes are available in English or Hindi, so children across Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad can learn in the language they think in. If language or pace is holding a quiet child back, tell the coach and the teaching approach will be adjusted rather than the child being left behind.
Will the coach be the same person every week?
Yes, that is a guarantee: the same coach every session with no rotation. Your child's coach learns their playing habits, their common errors and their temperament, which is hard to achieve when academies rotate staff. If you ever want a second opinion, the level check can be repeated with another coach.
Do we need any equipment at home in Delhi NCR?
A laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection is enough to start, and a physical board helps with homework for younger children. Keep the device, board and notebook ready before each session so class time is not lost to setup. The coach will tell you if anything extra is worth adding later.
When will we start seeing improvement in my child's play?
It varies by age and starting point, but families on the rating-improvement track usually see measurable movement within a few months, and tournament entrants have averaged about four months of preparation. The weekly report shows the specific ideas covered each week, so progress is visible long before the rating moves.
