All class times run on India Standard Time (IST), so there is no DST mapping to track for Gurugram families. Coach availability windows across the week include 9:30 AM-1:30 PM IST, 11:30 AM-3:30 PM IST, 12:30-5:30 PM IST, 2:30-5:30 PM IST, 4:30-9:30 PM IST and 5:30-8:30 PM IST. Group batches are strictly 4-6 similarly-rated students, placed by working level so nobody is dragged or held back. Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
There is a written roadmap for every stage: beginner, intermediate, advanced, plus age tracks for 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15, tournament prep and rating improvement. Each stage carries named goals, so a newcomer works toward finishing complete games while an advanced student works toward converting training into events. Nothing is vague playtime.

How will I know it is working?

Classes are live video sessions your child attends from home, so you control the environment entirely. A parent can sit nearby, especially for younger children, and the weekly WhatsApp report shows exactly what each session covered. Because the same coach runs every session, your child builds a familiar, accountable relationship rather than meeting rotating strangers.

What if we stop?
If you stop a Gurugram monthly plan, cancel within 48 hours of enrolling for a full refund. Before session three a pro-rated refund minus sessions attended still applies; after that the month is kept and later charges stop. Term leftover sessions can still be finished after a 7-day pro-rated window, you book the number of sessions that fit your calendar, and the free demo and level check mean the first look at teaching costs nothing.

Will the timings fit our week?
Coach windows run across IST mornings and evenings, from 9:30 AM-1:30 PM through 4:30-9:30 PM on different days, so slots exist before school and after homework. Because classes are online, there is no commute across Cyber City traffic to protect. We fix one weekly slot and hold it, which is what survives a busy NCR term.

What does it cost, exactly?

The Distt. Chess Association Gurgaon is the district body to ask about junior notices, and you should confirm the notice's own rules. Gurugram hosted the National Under-9 Championship finals at Pragyanam School in June 2025, and the Emergers Inter-School tournament was listed at RPS International School for July 2026. On average, students reach a first tournament in about four months here.

What do I have to do at home?
Very little. A few focused minutes at home help: set up the board, solve a couple of positions, or save one serious game each week for class.
