How child safety works
Every coach clears a multi-step hiring process, and background verification — police clearance plus a reference check — is completed before they teach a child. Classes are live lessons rather than recorded lesson libraries, parents may sit in on any session, and a parent or guardian should remain at home during classes for children under eight. What homework does a parent have to supervise at home?
No chess background is required from parents, and the effort involved is minimal. For young children, five to ten focused minutes beats a long block: set up the board, solve two familiar positions, and stop while interest is still high. Teenagers keep a short error log with the position, the decision and the lesson. Anything confusing can be photographed and sent to the coach before the next class.
