Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
Yes. Roadmaps run from ages 5-8 (board familiarity, safe move habits, short complete games) through ages 9-12 and 13-15, then beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, plus dedicated tournament-prep and rating-improvement tracks. Each stage has named goals, so a beginner finishes complete games with opening principles while an advanced student deepens calculation and converts training into events.

Is it safe, and can I see the classes?
Classes are live online sessions your child attends from home, with no travel through town traffic or evening canal crossings. Because sessions happen on a video call you control at home, you can be nearby or listen in, and the shared board keeps every move visible. Alappuzha monthly plans keep a full refund available for 48 hours after enrolling. Until session three the refund is pro-rated minus what was attended, then the month is kept while cancelling stops future charges. A 3-month or 6-month term uses a 7-day pro-rated window, leftover sessions can still be finished, and if a monsoon outage or exams arrive you can pause so remaining sessions are kept.
