Why Brampton families choose online coaching
Brampton families can book live online chess lessons for children aged 5–15 in English or Hindi. Each child stays with the same FIDE-rated coach, joins 1:1 or a group of no more than six, and receives a plan that parents can follow through weekly WhatsApp reports.
Brampton has a large South Asian community, including many families with roots in India. Coaching from India can therefore feel familiar, but availability must match both countries: ChessWize staffs Eastern-time weekend mornings and the weekday 7–8am pre-school hour, never Brampton weekday afternoons or evenings.
Honest pricing
ChessWize keeps one price list in Indian rupees (from ₹2,500 for 8 classes). Your card is simply charged the equivalent in your local currency at checkout, so there is no separate or inflated overseas rate. At recent rates that is roughly 5–17 CAD per class depending on the plan; the exact charge follows the live exchange rate.

Beyond the moves — the habits parents notice at home and school.
Focus that carries over
A full game is a 30–60 minute concentration workout. Coaches build it up gradually — most parents notice it first at homework time.
Confidence from real play
Wins are earned against real opponents, and losses get reviewed calmly with the coach — both build a child who isn't afraid to think.
Progress you can actually see
Every week your coach sends a WhatsApp report: what was taught, what improved, what to practise next.

Chess for kids in Brampton
The Chess Federation of Canada governs rated chess nationally, and GTA families can seek over-the-board events from local organizers. A child does not have to choose between formats: online lessons can supply consistent coaching, while suitable local games can build comfort with a physical board, clock, and unfamiliar opponents. Brampton hosts the 2026 Ontario Chess Challenge — the provincial grade-level scholastic championship run by the Chess'n Math Association, Canada's national scholastic chess organization — at the Pearson Convention Centre, with sections from kindergarten through grade 12. Brampton Library also runs free chess lessons for all skill levels in partnership with EnRoute 2 Success.
Online vs local classes in Brampton
ChessWize is online only and has no Brampton premises. In-person groups may be valuable for casual games and local friendships. Online coaching is useful when parents want the same FIDE-rated coach every week, 1:1 attention or a strict six-player cap, and a lesson that does not add another GTA journey.

We had been searching for a chess class online for our sons. Suddenly on instagram , we saw the ad for chesswize and connected with the them. The demo was really good and we started the classes for our almost 4.7 year old son. Ankit Rajoriya Sir engaged him really well , he very knowlegeble in his field. His classes are well structured and he teaches the concepts in simple and engaging manner. My son has started loving chess and has started applying the strategies. The environment of the class is really positive where kids feel safe asking questions and their queries are answered well. We truly appreciate his professionalism, dedication, and commitment towards his students. We highly recommend Chesswize and Ankit Rajoriya Sir to any parent looking for chess classes for their kids.

Coach Ankit has been amazing for my 8-year-old. He’s super friendly and explains chess rules in a way kids actually get. My son looks forward to every Chesswize class now. He motivates him to do better without any pressure, and I’ve seen fast improvement in both his game and confidence. Highly recommend Ankit for young beginners!

Online chess classes in Brampton: common questions
How are ChessWize fees charged to a Brampton family?
Fees are billed in INR, then charged by your payment provider as the local-currency equivalent in CAD at roughly the same value. ChessWize does not quote a made-up Canadian fee. Plans are available for live 1:1 coaching and batches capped at six. The 30-minute demo is free with no payment, and unused classes can be refunded under the applicable plan terms.
Are online lessons effective, and is there a ChessWize location in Brampton?
ChessWize has no offline location in Brampton or elsewhere in Canada. Classes are live, so the FIDE-rated coach can watch moves, ask questions, and correct mistakes immediately. Keeping the same coach and limiting groups to six supports attention. Local over-the-board play can still be added for social experience and tournament practice.
Can my child learn in Hindi from Brampton, and when are classes available?
Yes. Coaching is available in English or Hindi for ages 5–15, which can be helpful for Brampton families who use either language at home. The honest ET schedule is weekend mornings or the 7–8am weekday pre-school slot only. Hindi availability depends on matching your child with a suitable coach during the free demo process.
