Bookable class times for Abu Dhabi
Our coaches teach from India. These are the weekly windows we can actually staff for the UAE — shown in your local time and the coach's time (IST). You book a fixed weekly slot.
| Slot | Your local time | Coach time (IST) |
|---|---|---|
| After-school weekdays | Weekday after-school, 3:00–8:00 PM GST (Mon–Fri) | 4:30–9:30 PM IST |
| Weekend mornings | Saturday, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM GST | 10:30 AM–2:30 PM IST |
Why Abu Dhabi families choose online coaching
Abu Dhabi has a substantial Indian expatriate population, and many families are used to arranging tutoring or enrichment classes with instructors based in India over video call. A weekly online chess class fits the same routine, without adding another trip across the city after school. Mussafah is a major Indian workforce area with growing family housing, adding another residential context for lessons that do not require a cross-city journey.
The 1.5-hour gap between India and the UAE means a coach's regular working evening in India comfortably covers a child's after-school hours in Abu Dhabi. That gives you two realistic slot options — a weekday after-school class or a Saturday morning one — rather than having to accept whatever single window happens to overlap.
Honest pricing
ChessWize keeps one price list in Indian rupees (from ₹2,500 for 8 classes). Your card is simply charged the equivalent in your local currency at checkout, so there is no separate or inflated overseas rate. At recent rates that is roughly 15–50 AED per class depending on the plan; the exact charge follows the live exchange rate.

Beyond the moves — the habits parents notice at home and school.
Focus that carries over
A full game is a 30–60 minute concentration workout. Coaches build it up gradually — most parents notice it first at homework time.
Confidence from real play
Wins are earned against real opponents, and losses get reviewed calmly with the coach — both build a child who isn't afraid to think.
Progress you can actually see
Every week your coach sends a WhatsApp report: what was taught, what improved, what to practise next.

Real ChessWize families, in their own words.

Chess for kids in Abu Dhabi
The capital has a marquee event of its own: the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival, organised by the Abu Dhabi Chess & Culture Club, runs dedicated under-16 junior tournaments alongside its open events and drew players from more than 80 countries in recent editions (the 32nd edition runs in August 2026). A number of schools in the capital run chess clubs too, so regular coaching gives a child real places to compete without leaving the emirate.
Online vs local classes in Abu Dhabi
ChessWize has no physical centre in Abu Dhabi or anywhere else — every class is live online. If your child is already settled with a coach found through their school, that can keep working fine. Online is worth considering when you want a specific FIDE-rated coach who isn't geographically close, or when you'd rather not add a coaching commute to an evening that already includes homework and other activities.

We had been searching for a chess class online for our sons. Suddenly on instagram , we saw the ad for chesswize and connected with the them. The demo was really good and we started the classes for our almost 4.7 year old son. Ankit Rajoriya Sir engaged him really well , he very knowlegeble in his field. His classes are well structured and he teaches the concepts in simple and engaging manner. My son has started loving chess and has started applying the strategies. The environment of the class is really positive where kids feel safe asking questions and their queries are answered well. We truly appreciate his professionalism, dedication, and commitment towards his students. We highly recommend Chesswize and Ankit Rajoriya Sir to any parent looking for chess classes for their kids.

Ankit sir is a wonderful coach especially for younger kids.He knows the game deeply but also teaches with patience, encouragement, and real passion. He explains ideas in a clear and easy way, so children can understand and use them in their games. His classes are well-planned, fun, and motivating. Coach Ankit has been amazing for my 8-year-old. He’s super friendly and explains chess rules in a way kids actually get. My son looks forward to every Chesswize class now. He motivates him to do better without any pressure, and I’ve seen fast improvement in both his game and confidence. Highly recommend Ankit for young beginners!

Online chess classes in Abu Dhabi: common questions
What do classes cost, and does living in Abu Dhabi mean a higher price?
India pricing starts from Rs 375 per class. For UAE families, the same fees are billed in INR and charged as the local-currency equivalent at the current exchange rate — not a separate or marked-up international rate. You can try a free 30-minute demo first, and unused classes in a package are refunded if requested.
Is there an offline ChessWize centre in Abu Dhabi, or is it online-only?
Online only — ChessWize does not operate a physical centre in Abu Dhabi or any other city. Classes run live over video with a real coach and a shared digital board, in small batches of up to 6 or one-to-one, so your child is actively playing and getting corrected in real time.
My child's school day in Abu Dhabi runs late — will a class from India even fit?
Usually yes. Because India is only 1.5 hours behind Abu Dhabi, weekday slots roughly between 4:30 and 9:30 PM your time are available, and Saturday morning is an option too. You pick one fixed weekly slot, and the same coach keeps that time with your child going forward.
