Class times for Pali
Classes run live on India Standard Time (IST), so there is no daylight saving adjustment for Pali families: the local time is the IST time. How classes run

Who teaches my child, and are they rated?
Your child is taught by experienced coaches such as Hrdyansh Pandey, Tarun Gupta and Aryan Pal. Every coach teach live, and your child keeps the same coach every session, so the person teaching week one is the person tracking progress in week twelve.

How many children share the coach?
Group classes are exclusive, skill-matched batches of strictly 4-6 similarly-rated students, so intense peer play and group calculation stay personal. Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
Yes. There is a written roadmap for every stage: age tracks for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15, plus beginner, intermediate, advanced, rating-improvement and tournament-prep levels. A beginner learns the board, finishes complete games and finds basic tactics; an advanced student audits their own games and converts training into events.

How will I know it is working?
You receive a weekly WhatsApp report for every student, naming what was taught and what comes next. Coaches track individual understanding in each batch, and rating-improvement students keep an error log so the trend is visible. You do not need to know chess yourself to see whether the classes are working.

Is it safe, and can I see the classes?
Classes are live online sessions your child attends from home, with a coach interacting directly with children throughout the lesson rather than playing a recording. Because sessions happen at home on a fixed schedule, you always know where your child is and who they are with, and you can sit nearby any time.

Can we try before paying?
Yes. Every Pali family starts with a complimentary 30-min level check before you commit. The coach assesses your child's level, you both test the teaching relationship, and you get a recommended starting plan. Only after that do you decide whether to take the starter pack.

What if we stop?
The monthly plan in Pali allows a full refund within 48 hours of enrolling, then a pro-rated refund minus attended sessions until the 3rd class, after which the current month is not refunded though cancelling stops later billing. On a 3-month or 6-month term, cancel within 7 days of enrolling for a refund minus sessions attended; after 7 days remaining classes can be finished within the term, and a family can pause for exams, holidays or travel while remaining sessions are kept.

What do I have to do at home?
Very little is asked of you. Younger children do best with five to ten focused minutes a day: setting up the board, one familiar position, stopping while they are still interested. Older children save one serious game a week for class. If a rule causes a household disagreement, jot down the position and bring it to class, where the coach resolves it on a live board.

What ages do the levels cover?
Three age tracks run for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15, and skill levels run separately from beginner through advanced. A six-year-old and a fourteen-year-old are never placed in the same batch, because batches are matched by working level as well as age. The coach recommends the right track at the free level check.
Do we need to buy anything before the first class?
A standard board at home helps with the short practice tasks between lessons, and a notebook works for older children's error logs. For the class itself your child just needs a device with a stable internet connection. Nothing else has to be purchased, and the level check costs nothing.
How much homework will my child get each week?
A short, focused task comes after each class: a few positions for younger children, one saved serious game a week for older students. Sessions of five to ten minutes are enough at the younger ages. If exams crowd the week, tell the coach and the volume drops without losing the training thread.
