Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
Yes. There is a real ladder from beginner through intermediate and advanced to tournament-prep and rating-improvement, with age tracks for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15. Beginners learn the board, legal moves and opening principles; advanced students deepen calculation and convert training into events. Each level has a written roadmap.

How will I know it is working?
You receive a weekly WhatsApp report for every student, so you can see what was taught and how your child is progressing without attending anything. Coaches track individual understanding in group batches, and rating-improvement students work from collected game samples, a named bottleneck and a retested trend.

Is it safe, and can I see the classes?
Classes are live online sessions your child joins from home, on a video call with a known, experienced coach who stays the same every session. Because everything happens online, you can see the setup your child learns in, and the weekly WhatsApp report keeps you informed about every class.

Yes. Every child starts with a complimentary 30-min demo, with no payment needed. The coach uses that session as a level check to see how your child responds, and can then advise whether a small group batch of up to 6 or a few 1:1 sessions is the better starting point.

What if we stop?
Request a Navi Mumbai monthly refund by email or WhatsApp within 48 hours of enrolling for a full refund, then a pro-rated refund minus sessions attended until the 3rd session, after which there is no refund for the current month and cancelling stops later billing rather than returning every leftover class. Term packages add a 7-day pro-rated refund from enrolling, and that sits on top of the free demo so you can judge the fit before paying.

Will the timings fit our week?

Yes. FIDE lists the Ramabai Ranade classical in Kharghar, dated 4 to 9 May 2026. The Tarabai Shinde rapid in Nerul is listed for 6 December 2026. Ask Maharashtra Chess Association about later notices and confirm the chosen event's requirements. On average, students reach a first tournament in about four months of lessons.

What do I have to do at home?
Very little. For young children, five to ten focused minutes a day is enough: set up the board, show how one piece moves, or solve two familiar positions. Older children save one serious game a week and bring one honest question to class. The coach sets targeted homework; you just keep the routine light.
