Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
Yes. The ladder runs from beginner to intermediate to advanced, with dedicated tracks for ages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-15, plus tournament prep and rating improvement. A beginner starts with the board and legal moves, finishes complete games and picks up opening principles, basic tactics and endings; advanced students deepen calculation and convert training into events.

What if we stop?
A Madurai monthly plan offers a full refund within 48 hours of enrolling, then a pro-rated refund minus sessions attended as long as you have not reached the 3rd session, after which the current month is not refunded and cancelling stops later billing. What do I have to do at home?
Very little equipment is needed: a board at home and a quiet corner are enough.
