Is there a real curriculum from beginner to rated play?
Yes. There is a real ladder from beginner through intermediate and advanced to tournament prep and rating improvement, with age tracks for 5-8, 9-12, and 13-15. Beginners learn the board, finish complete games, and pick up opening principles; advanced students deepen calculation and convert training into events.

How will I know it is working?
You receive a weekly WhatsApp report for every student, every week, without asking. It shows what was covered and where your child stands, so you can judge progress even if you do not play chess yourself. Parents consistently point to this report as the reason they stayed.

Is it safe, and can I see the classes?
Classes are live on video from your home, with your child in a supervised session led by a named coach. Batches are small and skill-matched, so nothing happens outside the coach's view. You can sit nearby, and the weekly report keeps you informed of everything covered.

What if we stop?
Within 48 hours of enrolling, a Howrah monthly plan can be cancelled for a full refund, then a pro-rated refund minus sessions attended until the 3rd session, after which the current month is not refunded though cancelling stops later billing. For exams, holidays or travel you can pause and the remaining sessions are kept when school interrupts chess.

What do I have to do at home?
Little, and it is guided. The coach sets short, targeted homework: a few positions, one saved game, or a question about the weekly theme. For younger children, five to ten focused minutes at the board is enough. You just keep the device and notebook ready and pass questions to the coach.
