Printable chess score sheets (A4, free)

Three free A4 sheets: a rated card with AICF and FIDE ID fields, a 40-move large-cell sheet for U-9 handwriting, and a 15-move classroom sheet with piece icons. Direct PDF links — no email wall, no phone field.

What each variant is for#

Rated. One page, 60 moves, the header Indian TDs actually use: Event, City, Date, Round, Board, Section, time control, White and Black names, AICF ID, FIDE ID, state, rating (or unr.). Result is 1–0 / 0–1 / ½–½, then both signatures and an arbiter line. Use this at a district or state Swiss.

Scholastic. Forty numbered rows on one A4 page (two columns of 20), 9 mm cells, 17 pt move numbers, plus a piece-letter key so a U-7 can circle N instead of inventing a spelling. Result and signatures sit under the grid. If the game goes past 40, ask the arbiter for another sheet and continue from 41.

Classroom. Fifteen huge rows, piece icons to circle, and a one-line White / Black / Date / Class. No rating fields. Print the blank for the lesson; the fourth download is the same sheet with a five-move kids’ Italian already written in (this is e4 / Nf3 / O-O). Do not hand the classroom sheet to an arbiter as the official record.

Chess.com and ChessTournamentGuide already give away free sheets. These exist because those files are Letter-first or USCF-first. Ours are A4, with AICF + FIDE ID + state, plus a large-cell kids sheet Indian schools will photocopy.

How to print#

1. Open the PDF from the button above (the file lives on this site, not on Google Drive).
2. Paper size A4.
3. Scale 100%. Disable “fit to page”.
4. Black and white is fine. There is no dark full-bleed panel.
5. One copy, then the school photocopier.

Notation symbols#

! and ? are coach opinions, not official symbols. Result codes on the rated sheet: 1–0 White wins, 0–1 Black wins, ½–½ draw.

Write the move, then press the clock. In severe time trouble (typically under five minutes with no increment of at least 30 seconds) FIDE Laws Article 8 lets a player stop writing. The circular and the arbiter still win.
