Salesforce is FIDE title sponsor for World Championship 2026 to 2028

Salesforce is the title sponsor of the FIDE World Championship Matches from 2026 to 2028. FIDE announced the deal on 10 September 2026 from San Francisco and Lausanne.

Salesforce names on the matches and rankings

The partnership covers the 2026 and 2028 title matches, the 2027 Women's match, and world rankings. Events take the Salesforce FIDE World Chess Championships name. Rankings take the Salesforce FIDE Rankings name. Salesforce is also the official AI partner of the World Championship and of FIDE Rankings.

Gukesh D meets Javokhir Sindarov in Geneva

FIDE's 28 July 2026 host article names Geneva for Gukesh D against Javokhir Sindarov from 25 November to 15 December 2026. The match is 14 classical games. Play stops when a player reaches 7½ points. If the score is tied after 14 classical games, tie-breaks decide the title. Gukesh, the reigning champion from India, defends the title he won in Singapore in December 2024. Sindarov earned the challenge by winning the 2026 Candidates Tournament in Cyprus.

FIDE's 10 September page says it oversees 204 member federations and 1.5 million rated players. The same page says fans will use a Chess Concierge Agent. Agentforce 360 will power that agent, which will answer ratings, rules, and live tournament status. An ELO Player Rating Agent is planned so visitors can look up any FIDE player in conversation. In a ChessBase India interview dated 10 September 2026, FIDE CEO Emil Sutovsky said the monetary part of the three-year Salesforce agreement is 9 million US dollars, with additional partnership components including promotion.

FIDE's 28 July article says both Gukesh and Sindarov will be 20 when the match begins. Gukesh represents India. Sindarov represents Uzbekistan. The July article also said a detailed match schedule would come later.
